Field Pilot Skid

The field pilot skid packages the same treatment logic as the bench rig into a machine that can be transported, serviced, and observed during longer runs.

Pilot Goals

  • survive transport and setup without replumbing
  • support repeated service cycles in one workday
  • carry enough sensing to explain failures instead of hiding them
  • keep dirty-side and clean-side handling physically separate

Layout Pattern

Arrange the skid in treatment order from one side to the other:

  1. intake and feed connections
  2. solids handling and dirty drains
  3. fine filtration and differential pressure instrumentation
  4. polishing or disinfection
  5. clean outlet and storage connection
  6. controls and power above the wet zone

Commissioning Checklist

  • verify all hoses and unions are tightened
  • flush the machine with non-critical water before first sampling
  • log baseline pressures at clean-filter condition
  • test dry-run and overpressure protections
  • confirm sampling points are accessible with the machine operating

Serviceability Rules

  • no filter change should require moving the entire skid
  • electrical panels should open without exposing wet plumbing
  • common service parts should be visible at a glance
  • the operator should be able to isolate modules for troubleshooting
